Our Mission
The organization aims to support the airport's continued operation and growth while raising community awareness about general aviation. The OAA also focuses on promoting youth education in STEM and aerospace fields, offering aviation scholarships, and protecting environmentally sensitive areas around the San Luis Rey river.
Membership Requirements
Members must agree to support the airport's continued operation. They commit to following noise abatement procedures and maintaining good relations between pilots and Oceanside residents. All Federal Aviation Regulations apply.
Pricing
Standard membership: $15.00 a year Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) special rate: $1 per year
As the OAA notes, "OAA mailings alone cost a lot more" than the CFI rate, emphasizing the value provided to instructors.
Member Benefits
Members receive membership cards and access to OAA merchandise including hats, visors, t-shirts, and jackets available for purchase at events. The organization maintains strict confidentiality regarding membership information.
Members can also make tax-deductible donations via PayPal.
Donations of $100 or more include an OAA pilot ball-cap with the organization's winged logo.
